Guys i have a theory. Maybe they're specially make project awful to say after: "You were against the project, so we're cancelling it"?
Ok, fuck. If you soooo obsessed on light rail, why I don't see trolleys on Brooklyn bridge?
Tram?! Fucking tram?! Can you imagine how NYC would look like today, if people in 1904 build park avenue line not for 11 cars, but only for 4. To be honest, I can't.
Me, I’m out that bedstuy, home of that boy biggie
Something to know is that Clinton hill is where biggie grew up and jay z grew up in bedstuy
2:57 that is not true! you can get there from the liberty st park ferry as well
Even in Japan that has superior trains. It’s a close loop that you need a card.
What is the name of the app to download the bus itineraries.?
5:35 That is heavy rail. Light rail means trolleys and trams.
Is there parking at the St. George terminal??
how old is the vid? took the buss 3 weeks ago and they had racks.
i prefer unlimited metrocard for the month something omny doesnt have so omny is very inconvenient for me
NOOO DONT OUT FLOYD BENNET FEILD - THATS THE SECRETTTT SHUHSHHH
More bullshit and mismanagement of the MTA. How hard would it be to tunnel under a cemetary? Your not even tunneling under 6 blocks. This isnt 2nd Ave where the MTA had to move utilities and sewers before they could even begin tunneling. Your going under a cemetery that anyone that knows the are is up on a hill. The fact is that anytime you put rail on a street, you're increasing the chances of collisions and accidents. Imagine the delay during a snowstorm when the streets have to be plowed. T Also the MTA already has existing trains from the IRT lines that they can easily use on that line. I realize there are two tunnels that may need to be widened but that shouldnt be a big deal when you consider frieght rail traffic already exist along mich of this proposed route. The MTA 8s being so short sighted with this propasal when at the end of the day connecting Staten Island Via this route should also be a priority within the next 40 years. If its not a Subway that can eventually be extended to the Bronx and Staten Island to finally connect that borough to the rest of the city then it makes zero sense.
No one over the age of 14 should ride for free and if you are a student then yes, there should be a lower fare avaialble at all times. Seniors, disabled, veterans and low income should also get discounts. However, its still unfair that the MTA is subsidizing the entire NYCT system on the backs of motorists. How the hell is it fair to subsidize the ENTIRE TRAIN AND BUS SYSTEM on motorist? For motorist that have no choice but to drive into NYC for work or for motorist that live in Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island or Long Island they are forced to pay $15 JUST TO LEAVE THE CITY either by Holland or Lincoln Tunnel? Once Congestion pricing is implemented the only free way to leave NYC will be by the George Washington Bridge. How will this affect residents in upper manhattan and the Bronx with Noise Trqffic and exhaust pollution? None of this should be implemented until NYS NJ, CT, PA the MTA and the Federal Government can find a way to get people into and out of the city on a daily basis efficiently, effectively and inexpensively by commutter rail or buses.
Ok so "Hell's Kitchen" is not a Kitchen were you can go to get food ?
At one point I lived, worked and studied in the Bronx. Never needed to leave the borough for years, I lived in Fordham Heights, 183rd and Ryer (Pls don’t visit for tourism lol), then lived in upper middle class Harding Park after landing a job in my career (it’s a hidden gem).
Elevators and escalators are useless if they're not working. Broken people movers of any sort fustrate me the most of any travel circumstance. It's like a double inconvenience.
Wildcat gondola at wildcat mountain NH - on a windy day
Can you make a video on all the shuttle trains? Thanks a lot.
Thank you for this video. It was a great help in my recent trip to New York City. Can you make a video on getting back from Manhattan to NYC?
Lexington Ave is Manhattan…”technically”??! 🤔 It is THE middle of Manhattan! 🤦🏻♀️
Hi from Canada. Thanks for this. Very helpful.
❤miss your videos/charm❤
I watched a documentary on TV saying that there is a building in Manhattan where most billionaires live and once you drive down this street and cross the bridge into Brooklyn you will land on low-income households. The documentary said the two realities are divided by Brooklyn's bridge, but they lived on the very same street. Would you cover this on a video?
Very helpful video
Thanks! It's really irritating that the subway from Manhattan all the way to Howard Beach is $2.90 but then you have to pay $8.50 to travel the last mile.
It’s actually not a subway it’s a railway
I liked the video but so sorry your English gives me a little bit of cringe
Happy NewYorking!
You’re awesome, thanks for the simple coherent explanation.
As a native New Yorker, born and bred for 53 years I do have a major issue with backpacks. While I can see their appeal from a health issue not wanting to put a strain on a person's shoulder. I personally use a leather or canvas tote bag or canvas briefcase which in my opinion is a much better option from a style and functional point of view. Nothing looks worse than a grown man in a suit wearing a backpack. I also think that most people carrying bags look as though they are carrying every single thing they own. But I digress, my big issue with backpacks in NY is that we are a city of eight million people and at any given time there are hundreds of thousands of people riding the trains and buses. It is absolutely impossible to get passed anyone wearing a backpack that is extending three feet from a person's back and that's not including the oversized Canada Goose that seems to be the standard winter gear. Not to mention they are completely oblivious to the person they are constantly hitting behind them. Even after many signs and announcements asking anyone carrying a backpack to please remove it, no one ever does! New York's transit system belongs to everyone not just a select few who think that the rules don't apply to them. And please do not bring your pets who are not truly service dogs on the subway and have them sit on the seats. I'm sure you can make it to the nearest juice bar or vintage shop without your pooch. I have faith in you all.
There have been fare inspections on the Q44-SBS that travels from Jamaica, Queens to the Bronx. And it doesn't matter what the fare is, people will do anything to avoid paying it, especially on those long accordion buses, where they have OMNY machines set up at every door as well as the subway. And those gates need to be made taller in the subway as people can still evade the fare, if they have the agility.
And it can be even harder for trans people, for which using the bathroom can be dangerous for them. If you see someone in the bathroom and it looks like they might not belong there based on their looks, mind your own business. Let trans people pee.
It took me some tries till I got to Jay st and saw it
LIC is super overrated and doesn’t even have neighborhoods
Totally agree with you!

I just ordered a bike key, there r times I can't get internet access, and I got scammed before too
Oh yeah, and if an AutoGate is available, feel free to use it. They're for anyone who needs it.

Hi, will be visiting NYC for christmas. I have a couple of questions 1) Is it worth it taking the NYC ferry during the winter, for the views and photos etc 2) Is it worth buying the USD 27.50 ticket 3) Which is the best cruise/route youd prefer for some1 who is visiting the NYC for the 1st time (one or more)?
Other poorer countries have passenger guard rails to prevent riders been pushed onto the tracks of oncoming trains, WHY can't all NYC stations have these??? What are the Dem$ politicians doing with our Tax money???? New Yorkers pay a hell of a amount of taxes for poor services and infrastructure.
Anyone here old enough to remember when the stations on the G were lit by those dim light bulbs?
Sf and SR also don’t go to Manhattan
